In the UltraMind Solution, Dr. Hyman recommends everyone take the following supplements as a basic support package for your body and brain:

  • Multi-Vitamins/minerals - A high-quality, high-potency, highly bioavailable broad spectrum multivitamin, which contains all the basic essential vitamins and minerals.

  • Calcium Citrate - 600 to 800 mg depending on how much is in your multi-vitamin

  • Magnesium - amino acid chelate (aspartate, glycerinate, ascorbate, taurate, or citrate) 400 to 600 mg depending on how much is in your multi-vitamin

  • Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) - 2,000 IU in addition to what is in your multi-vitamin.

  • B Complex vitamins (Methylation) - Folate (800 mcg with at least 400 coming from the active form or 5-MTHF or L-methylfolate), B6 (or pyridoxine, 50 mg), and B12 (1000 mcg with at least half coming from methylcobalamin)

  • Omega-3 fats (EPA/DHA) - 1,000 mg twice a day containing a ratio of 300/200.

  • Probiotics - or beneficial bacteria to improve your digestion, reduce food allergies and reduce gut inflammation - 10 to 20 billion organisms twice a day
